Vineyard: El Mochuelo Estate Vineyard. Lake Chelan AVA
Harvested: 10/22/2022. Brix – 24.3, pH - 3.46
Bottled : 08/23/24
Alcohol: 14.5%
pH: 3.85%
Fermented in open topped fermenters. Aged for 21 months in a 100% new American Oak.
Aromatics: Dark black fruits/blackberry.
Palate: Beautiful blackberry, currant, and sandalwood upfront followed by smoked, brown sugar or molasses on the mid-palate. Super long finish with a tickle of smoke, tobacco, and fine=grained wood tannins.
Color: Beautiful dark purple with violet hues on the rim.
Food Pairings: Fatty Ribeye steak, Filet Mignon with crumbled blue cheese, and/or dark chocolate.
When to drink: Wonderful now and should age beautifully for 5 to 7 years
