2021 Petit Verdot - 29 Months (Wine Club Only)

$55.00
  • Blend: 100% Petit Verdot

  • Vineyard: Weinbau Vineyard in the Wahluke Slope AVA

  • Harvested: 10/12/2021. Brix – 26.5, pH – 3.58.

  • Bottled: 04/03/24

  • Alcohol: 15.3%

Fermented in open topped fermenters.  Aged for 29 months in 100% new American Oak.

Aromatics: Smells of stewed prunes, dark damson plums, brambleberry and spice (nutmeg & cloves.)

Palate: This is a big, beautiful wine with smooth texture and nice mouthfeel.   Initial notes of spice (nutmeg and cloves) and soft, but evident wood tannins.  The mid-palate is filled with mixed berry fruit and finishes with pretty caramel notes.  The wine has plenty of acidity, which holds everything together.

Color: Dark burgundy or crimson

Food Pairings: This wine will pair well with a charcuterie plate, charred meats like Argentinian barbecue, roasted ham, or chocolate ice cream.

ABOUT US

We are firm believers that you cannot make great wine without great grapes. We work very hard to grow great grapes, handpicking our grapes each season. Each season brings new challenges, but when we harvest the beautiful fruit we’ve worked so hard for, it’s incredibly rewarding. We practice sustainable farming and are in our vineyard every day. We make sure each vine gets the optimal amounts of water, nutrients, and sun. We want to do as little wine making intervention as possible.
